A unique opportunity for a couple to experience a taste of the field and vine. One of you will enjoy an afternoon at Highland Hideaway Hunting outside of Riverside for an upland game hunt, while the other relaxes with a taste of wine, a tour of how it’s made as well as a hands-on cooking class. Finish the day back together at Walker Homestead with multiple small-plate tastings featuring seasonal products from the farm.

1 Pheasant hunt at Highland Hideaway
3 bird limit (additional birds can be harvested above the limit at $20/bird)
Professional guide & dogs if needed

2 Seats for Private Tasting


If guest does not have a Hunting or Preserve License, any non-resident (or resident) will need to purchase a Preserve License. Cost for a Preserve License $22. All of these can be purchased at Highland.
Anyone born after 1972 we will need a Hunter Education number.  You may need to provide your SS# and all the info that is found on your driver’s license. If the guest does not have this most states now allow anyone over the age of 18 to take the online version of this.  If guest cannot get this completed in time they can still hunt in Iowa by getting an apprentice license however the cost of this license is $144, and guest does not need Hunter Education number.
